(1) Prepare Your Dayforce Integration User 👤
Before connecting Dayforce to Qooper, we recommend creating a dedicated service account for the integration.
Using a dedicated integration user ensures:
- Integration activity is logged under a designated account.
- Employee lifecycle changes won't disrupt the integration.
- Access is limited to only the data required for synchronization.
(1a) Enable API Access
If API access is not already enabled for your Dayforce tenant, contact your Dayforce representative or administrator to enable Web Services/API access.
(1b) Create a Service User
Create a dedicated service account (for example, QooperIntegration) that will be used exclusively for the Qooper integration.
Assign the account a role with access to the Dayforce Web Services features.
(1c) Configure Permissions
Grant the service account permission to read the employee data that will be synchronized with Qooper.
Typical fields include:
- Employee ID
- First Name
- Last Name
- Manager
- Department
- Job Title
- Country
- Work Location
- Employment Status (Active, Terminated, etc.)
- Hire Date
- Time in Current Role
- (or other custom fields, if applicable)
The exact permissions and field access required may vary depending on the employee attributes your organization chooses to synchronize with Qooper.
Once the integration requirements are finalized, ensure the service account has read access to all selected fields.
