How to connect your SFTP server with Qooper?

Overview

Connecting your own SFTP server to Qooper is as easy as 1-2-3: You provide your SFTP credentials, Qooper connects securely, and your data begins syncing automatically. With accurate data flowing into Qooper, you're ready to launch mentoring, learning, and development programs with the right people at the right time.

To start taking advantage of these benefits, the first step is to share your SFTP access details with the Qooper team.

(1) Provide Your SFTP Access Details 👤

Qooper will connect to your existing SFTP server using secure authentication. Please provide the following:

Required Connection Details

  • Hostname
  • Port
  • Username
  • Password or Private Key (OpenSSH format only)
  • Authentication Type (Password or Key-based)

Note: SSH-RSA is not supported. Please ensure your server uses a modern encryption algorithm.

(2) Provide Your Data File Details 🔑

After sharing your SFTP credentials, provide the following details to the Qooper team via Email so we can securely configure the file sync:

  • File Format: CSV (preferred), Excel, or JSON
  • File Name & Path: The exact directory and filename
  • Unique Identifier: Which field should be used as the primary key (e.g., employee id or email)?
  • Field Mapping: Please make a copy of the sample file and enter your own fields and data for us to configure the field mapping for the integration: Sample File Link

(3) Qooper Team Will Complete the Integration

The Qooper team will:

  • Establish Connection: We will create and test the SFTP connection using the provided credentials to ensure a valid connection.
  • Map Your Data: We map your file's fields (ID, Name, Email, Job Title, etc.) to the corresponding fields in Qooper.
  • Validate & Test: We perform data validation and test syncs to ensure the information is flowing accurately.
  • Activate Automation: We set your scheduled sync (Daily or Weekly) to keep your user base up to date automatically.

Your SFTP connection is successfully established. The Qooper team is now working on the mapping to ensure all data is fully synced and ready for your mentoring and development programs.
