How to connect SuccessFactors with Qooper?
Overview
Connecting SuccessFactors to Qooper is as easy as 1-2-3: Once your integration user is set up and the connection is created, your employee data begins syncing automatically. With accurate SuccessFactors data flowing into Qooper, you’re ready to launch mentoring, learning, and development programs with the right people at the right time.
Benefits of Integrating with Qooper
- Automated Data Sync: Employee demographics, job details, and status changes in SuccessFactors automatically sync to Qooper on a Daily or Weekly schedule.
- Streamlined Onboarding: New hires added in SuccessFactors are created in Qooper automatically, reducing manual entry and errors.
- Zero-touch Termination: When employees are terminated or become inactive in SuccessFactors, their Qooper accounts update automatically.
- Security and Compliance: The integration uses SAP SuccessFactors’ secure API framework and OAuth 2.0 authentication to ensure your data is protected.
To start taking advantage of these benefits, the first step is to create a dedicated integration user in SuccessFactors.
(1) Create an Integration User in SuccessFactors 👤
Before connecting to Qooper, you need a dedicated Integration User (also referred to as a service user).
Using a dedicated integration user ensures:
- Integration actions are logged under a designated user.
- Employee lifecycle changes won’t break the integration.
- Access is secure and limited to what the integration needs.
The integration user must have permission to access employee data through the SuccessFactors APIs.
(1a) Create Your SuccessFactors Integration User
- Sign in to SAP SuccessFactors Admin Center and create a new user to be used exclusively for the Qooper integration.
- Assign a valid username and email address.
- Ensure the user is not tied to a real employee record.
(1b) Assign Permissions
Assign the Integration User a role with the following permissions:
-
General User Permission
- User Login
- SFAPI User Login
- Manage Integration Tools:
-
Allow Admin to Access OData API
-
- Employee Central API:
- Employee Central Foundation OData API (Read-Only)
-
Employee Central HRIS OData API (Read-Only)
- Manage User:
- User Account (OData access)
Enable edit permissions only if explicitly requested by the Qooper team.
(2) Connect with your Credentials 🔑
After creating your Integration System User, provide the following SAP SuccessFactors credentials to Qooper via email so we can complete your integration:
- Company ID
- SuccessFactors API endpoint URL
- API version: OData v2 or OData v4 (OAuth 2.o required)
- ISU username
- Authentication method: OAuth 2.0 (recommended)
- OAuth credentials:
- Client ID and Client Secret or
- X.509 certificate (if applicable)
- Client ID and Client Secret or
(3) Qooper Team will Complete the Integration
Once the credentials are shared, the Qooper team will:
- Map your SuccessFactors data to Qooper fields (Employee ID, Job, Department, Manager, etc.).
- Perform data validation and test syncs.
- Activate your scheduled automation (Daily/Weekly).
Done 🎉
Your SAP SuccessFactors connection is successfully established. The Qooper team is now working on the integration to ensure all data is fully synced and ready for mentoring, learning, and inclusion programs. All configuration is handled by Qooper to provide a fully integrated, low-effort experience.
